Classes of Membership
There are three types of Membership: They are Associate, Full and Honorary
Fees: £10.00 per year (due 1st January) or pro rata.
So, how do I go about becoming a Member?
Becoming a member will mean that you are changing your religion to Spiritualist.
First and foremost you should be a regular attendee at one or more of our services. It is almost impossible to become a member if you are not known to other members.
You should fill in the Church Membership application form and hand it to any Committee Member.
The form will be presented to the Church Committee at their next meeting.
If you are known to the Committee they will approve the application into Associate Membership of the Church. You will be notified of their decision as soon after the meeting as possible.
The Associate Membership period lasts for a minimum of six months, during that time we all develop a better understanding of each other. You will be invited to attend an Introduction Course (held twice a year), Introducing you to the Science, Philosophy and Religion of Spiritualism. Further information will be available from members of the Committee.
Your name will then automatically come before the Committee and if accepted you will be invited to Full Membership. The Church Secretary will write to you.
If you joined part way through the year you will be asked to pay a portion of the annual fee.
Membership is renewable every year on the 1st January by paying your annual subscriptions (Subs). If the subs are not paid by the end of March a written reminder will be sent.
Membership of another SNU Church means you may be able to be accepted as a Full Member straight away upon proof that the 'Introduction to Spiritualism' course has been attended
