In 1975 when Bill & Carol Fiddes moved from Gateshead to the town of Birtley, being practising Spiritualists looked for a church in the Birtley area but unfortunately there was none and had to continue to travel to Gateshead to the nearest church.

Our Aim
The Aims and Objects of the church are as follows:-
1. The holding of Religious Services.
2. The training of all in the principles of the religion, religious philosophy and science of Spiritualism.
3. To promote the advancement of knowledge of the religion and religious philosophy as based on the Seven Principles.
